Are you a visionary artist ready to define the visual identity of world-class brands? PixelCanvas Studios is seeking a Lead Digital Illustrator to join our creative hub in the heart of Brooklyn. We are looking for an expert in storytelling who can translate complex concepts into breathtaking visual assets.
You will work closely with our Art Directors and Brand Strategists to create custom illustrations for digital products, marketing campaigns, and interactive web experiences. If you have a passion for pushing the boundaries of digital art and a portfolio that demands attention, we want to meet you.
Responsibility
- Conceptualize and execute original illustrations for multi-channel digital campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align visual style with brand messaging.
- Develop cohesive visual assets including icons, characters, and complex editorial layouts.
- Maintain and evolve our internal design system and illustration library.
- Mentor junior illustrators and provide constructive feedback on technical workflows.
- Stay abreast of industry trends in digital art, vector manipulation, and digital painting techniques.
- Ensure all assets are optimized for various digital formats and screen resolutions.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 4+ years of professional illustration experience with a strong focus on digital media.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fresco).
- Strong understanding of composition, color theory, anatomy, and lighting.
- Demonstrated ability to iterate rapidly based on design critiques and stakeholder feedback.
- A stellar portfolio showcasing diverse styles and conceptual thinking.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment.
